Il gemere
Bere e bere che vuoi che sia nel mentre
il pensare e gemere.
Dai esser alticci e scanzonati
altri non è che tempo estorto al dolore.
Ma perché i conti non tornano,
che sublime il soffrire,
dona rinuncia e tolleranza.
Ma che vuoi, son forte e tenace,
ma ho tanta volubilità,
che fare chiudo gli occhi e prego.
La dolce Signora è mia amica
e forse non tollera quel sorriso
che arranca sul mio volto
tumefatto e stanco,
dai la vita è solo una parola,
l’esser sordi al dolore
rende il cuore lento e mutevole,
soffrire è bello, ma non è vero.
